About the Urban Gardening group

The group has been around since early March 2015, and have held countless activities for those interested in sustainability and growing food. They are an open garden that receives a lot of visitors, such as school classes and children with their parents. The group has grown everything from zucchini, onions, sage, kale, mushrooms, potatoes, and lastly, to strawberries. The photo below simply shows how gorgeous their produce are!

With the course, they are hoping that everyone who participates will learn the basics of how to run a small garden by the end of the course - and through which, "bring both metaphorical and actual seeds to create a garden of their own," (we are loving this description of theirs). They meet at the communal garden once a week to work and grow together, so even if you cannot make it to the event, they urge you to come by anyway and join them on Wednesdays at 4pm!
